CBIT Digital Forensics Services (CDFS) is Australia’s premier supplier of digital forensic tools, industry-embedded training and certification to Law Enforcement, Government, and Corporate Enterprise. CDFS has experience creating bespoke preparation and response services to meet the needs of organisations facing matters involving electronically stored information and digital investigations. We have created unique solutions for a number of law enforcement agencies and government departments to tackle their respective digital forensic and investigative issues, including establishing and/or augmenting their existing capabilities and know how. The Team
Zoran Iliev – Managing Director
With over 20 years’ as an experienced IT Specialist and crime scene investigator, Zoran has conducted examinations involving all aspects of Cybercrime. He has dedicated his career to researching, mastering and innovating within the field of digital forensics, both as an educator and as a practitioner. As a sought-after speaker at forensic conferences across the globe, and as a digital forensics instructor, he has educated hundreds of people, employing an engaging and accessible style of teaching.
As both a practitioner and authority in the field, Zoran is well placed to ensure the digital forensic products CDFS adds to its portfolio are both best of breed and accepted with confidence within the industry.
Zoran is recognised as a leading international authority in digital forensics and he is sought after as an industry expert, speaker, advocate and practitioner in various dimensions of cyber-crime. He has experience in developing and delivering customised courses nationally and on a global scale. His responsibilities as an Adjunct Lecturer at ADFA UNSW and Latrobe University included developing and delivering a number of digital forensics related courses at postgraduate level in Computer Forensics, Network Forensics, Memory Forensics, Mobile Device Forensics, and Big Data Analytics for Security.
George Athanasiou – Director, Business Development
With a career spanning over 20 years in senior management roles, George is responsible for Business Development and Supplier Management systems. He has successfully completed CCE Bootcamp and X-Ways training, and professional development courses to better understand and service customers’ needs within the digital forensics arena, and regularly attends industry trade shows and conferences to maintain his currency.
George’ s focus is on creating a viable value chain by keeping services and products directly relevant to customer and industry needs, and looking for ways potential customers and suppliers can engage with CDFS by establishing and bringing to fruition a mutually beneficial and long term relationship.
Jeremy Perris – Director, Technology
With over 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry, Jeremy has built an excellent reputation for solution design and delivery across a wide range of industry verticals. His focus is on building and integrating information and computer systems that meet specific needs, and ensuring client’s use of technology is aligned with their business objectives. He takes great pride in arming clients with insight-driven tools to engage more meaningfully with their customers.
Dean Sim – Director, Finance & Operations
Responsible for the team’s operational excellence, financial processes and controls. Having undertaken a variety of senior finance roles including client relationship development, Dean delivers a balanced view of customer requirements. His focus within the procurement cycle is ensuring quality in logistics, order fulfilment, and ensuring high response times and regulatory compliance.
Dean is also responsible for ensuring structure and mechanisms are in place ensuring a positive service culture, predictable and compliant performance, overall quality assurance, and ultimately a great customer experience.
Steve Ilett – Innovation, Research and Training Development Manager
Steve has over 20 years of experience working in digital forensics, mainly working with law enforcement and similar agencies in the detection, acquisition and analysis of digital evidence. Much of that time was spent as the manager of a nation-wide team of forensic experts, eventually progressing to the Director role. In that time he has been exposed to a wide range of forensic tools and methodologies, including both hardware and software, and has given expert witness testimony at a considerable number of court cases around Australia.
He has experience in developing new forensic teams and ensuring policies and procedures are in place to protect both staff and the credibility of their work. Steve has also spent considerable time working in the Black Economy space, assisting in the detection and categorisation of digital sales suppression technologies in the retail industry.”
