Belkasoft v.9.2 Is Released!
Version 9.2 of BEC 2018 is a minor release which features a number of usability and performance improvements. Among the improvements in BEC v.9.2 there are:
- Support for APFS detection and parsing. Both unencrypted and encrypted data sources are supported
- For unencrypted APFS volumes carving is available
- The same powerful search and analysis of 1000+ various artifact types is now available for APFS, too
- Encrypted DMG images are supported
- Licensing is improved
Other improvements in v.9.1
User Interface
- List of encrypted files automatically refreshes when a correct password is found
- All not categorized files are moved to “Other files” node (e.g. email attachments or document embedded files which are not pictures or other supported types of artifacts)
- Search terms are properly highlighted
- A language selected whilst the product installation is now used as a default BEC interface language
- Record count is shown for each table in SQLite Viewer
Issues fixed
- Geodata from iOS GetTaxi app is not included into Timeline: fixed
- Possibility to sort pictures/documents in Galery view restored
- Webmail cloud downloading, only mails from Inbox were downloaded: fixed
- Tooltip does not work on Google Maps tab as an incorrect cluster displayed: fixed
- PhotoDNA deduplication failure fixed for some cases
- BEC is not responding after Expand All click in Registry Viewer: fixed
- Index file in reports contains absolute paths: fixed
- Out of memory during EML report generation: fixed
- Duplicates in predefined search results: fixed
