In an effort to keep up with the ever-changing needs of today’s examiners and the wide range of target machines, EnCase Forensic 8.07 now supports APFS, the file system used in the Apple High Sierra operating system (macOS 10.13). Investigators are now able to conduct targeted data collections from APFS and send the output as an EnCase logical evidence file. EnCase is the first-to-market with a Windows-based forensic application that supports Apple machines running APFS.
