What’s new in Tableau TX1 Forensic Imager?
Support for 802.1X Authentication
TX1 is now able to provide security certificates and credentials that 802.1X networks require to identify and authorize for network access. The ability for TX1 to connect to networks locked down with 802.1X Network Access Control policies adds an additional level of security confidence when conducting network operations.
Pause and resume imaging jobs
The ability to resume jobs that failed as a result of destination full or source/destination drive disconnection. This reduces the time that was previously required to restart the job.
Detection of proprietary self-encrypting USB devices
TX1 now detects proprietary self-encrypting drives that expose a CDFS volume so that the drive is shown as functioning, and users can determine the appropriate next steps for their investigations.
Scan/browse local network for available hosts with CIFS shares
When mounting a CIFS share, TX1 can now search the local network for hosts with configured CIFS shares making it easier for users to locate the desired share(s).
HTML logs
Logs can now be created in either text or HTML format. HTML logs provide an improved viewing experience, making it easier to quickly locate important job information.
Additional user enhancements
• Localization updates
• TX1 drive list now appears in port-order
• Ability to export a single log
• TX1 user now included in the job log
• And much more!
